Restorative Retreats

Mission Statement:
Creating safe spaces for women to abide in Christ and be transformed into His likeness through healing and wholeness to live out their calling.

ABOUT

About

Restorative Retreats began with a stirring in our hearts — a recognition that women everywhere, not just here in central Pennsylvania, need sacred space to step away from life’s relentless pace and rest in the presence of Jesus.

In the summer of 2022, our small team of four hosted our very first retreat. A group of women said “yes” to trusting us to lead them, and together we experienced the beauty of silence, solitude, Scripture, prayer, and delight. That weekend confirmed what we already sensed: this was not just a dream —

it was a calling.

Since then, we’ve partnered with the serene Linck Hill Inn at Three Springs in Morris, PA. Nestled in a landscape of rolling hills and quiet beauty, it has become the home of our bi-annual gatherings.

Our mission is simple: to create unhurried space for women to encounter God, refresh their souls, and return to their lives renewed. We would be honored for you to join us at our next retreat.

Meet the Team

Jaclyn McCourt-Gilbert

What began on the cheerleading squad in high school and as a music teacher to her K–12 students has now grown into a new audience and calling. She never imagined herself teaching from the Bible, but God stirred a passion to coach, encourage, and lead others toward the rest, freedom, and healing Jesus modeled. It all started with a short message on the Sabbath at the very first retreat. Her hands trembled, her throat was drier than the Sanhedrin, and the room seemed to blur around her. She pushed through each sentence, unsure if her voice would hold. But when it was over, something unexpected stirred deep within—a spark of joy and purpose. She found herself longing to do it again… and then again. Her journey has taken her from pursuing glory as an opera singer during her days at Penn State to giving all glory to God with the gifts He has entrusted to her. Along the way, she has navigated both joy and suffering. She knows the ache of waiting on God for the dreams of a family, and the deep sorrow when those dreams were met with repeated loss. Now, in an unexpected season of singleness and childlessness, she leans on the truths of Romans 5:3-5, knowing that her scars have shaped her character and deepened her intimacy with Christ. She has devoted her life to pursuing more of God and sharing what He is teaching. She is currently studying Spiritual Formation with an emphasis in Spiritual Direction at Northeastern Seminary. Her unique laugh is a beacon for anyone trying to find her, and her overly cheery morning disposition might be a bit much for those who haven’t had their coffee—she’s an unapologetic early riser, often in her basement gym before the sun comes up. She loves deep conversations with friends and family over good food or coffee, and the kind of laughter that leaves your cheeks and belly sore—yes, even the bathroom-humor kind! A passionate performer and singer, Jaclyn uses music and personal experiences to communicate God’s truth and invite others into His presence. She also brings her passion for serving others into her role as Program Manager at the Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity.

Bea Brown

Bea’s major role on the Restorative Retreat team is registration and communication. She feels blessed and honored to be part of a ministry team alongside three younger women, one being her daughter, who are passionate about caring for the souls of our Sisters in Christ. She enjoys working behind the scenes, helping to provide a safe and loving environment for women to get alone and spend time with our amazing God of the universe. Bea is a wife, mom to four married kids and grammy to 8 precious jewels. Along with spending time with her family and friends, she loves to disappear into the garden to dig in the dirt and tend to her composting worms, which is a wonderful place to meet with God as He teaches many lessons in the process of sowing, harvesting, etc. She also enjoys sharing her garden bounty and knowledge about organic gardening.

Heather Way

Heather is the founder of Restorative Retreats, a space where women are invited to be restored and made whole through God’s healing work. With 17 years of experience as a school social worker, she deeply understands the widespread burnout many face today. Having once been caught up in the same hurried pace, Heather felt God’s gentle call to slow down — to “be still and know that He is God” — and now she warmly invites other women to step into this sacred rhythm with her. Life is full for Heather as a wife, mother of two children, and proud dog mom to an Australian shepherd. She also brings her heart and skills to the mat as a trained Holy Yoga instructor (HYR-200), leading Christ-centered yoga classes that nurture both body and soul. Through Restorative Retreats and her classes, Heather hopes to guide women toward peace, renewal, and a deeper connection with God.

Jen Beitz

Jen cherishes one of the most rewarding roles in her life: being a mom to her amazing son, whom she views as a precious gift from God. Over the years, as a single parent, Jen has experienced the joy of homeschooling him, participating in youth group adventures, coaching his soccer teams, and building a life centered around love, learning, and adventure. Both she and her son share a passion for the outdoors, often spending time hiking, biking, swimming, and camping. In her free time, Jen enjoys reading and finds joy in expressing creativity through art and photography. Her desire to help others began early in her career when God led her to Freshlife, a local health food store. There, Jen spent 10 years working as a wellness coach, guiding individuals toward healthier living by promoting cleaner eating and exploring alternative health through herbs, vitamins, and minerals. Though she loved this work, Jen felt a calling to dive deeper into understanding how God created the human body, which led her to pursue massage therapy. For over 20 years, she has been a Licensed Massage Therapist, a career she is passionate about. Jen's walk with God has had its share of highs and lows, but through this journey her passion for spiritual health has grown. She feels called to walk alongside others to help them hear God’s voice, understand their true identity in Christ, and live in freedom so they can empower others to do the same. When Heather invited Jen to join the Restorative Retreat team, she knew instantly it was where God wanted her. Jen loves serving with the team through prayer and planning. She is the creative force behind hands-on activities, from designing faith-filled art projects to coordinating restorative spa treatments, all intentionally woven together to help women reflect on spiritual challenges and find renewal. Jen’s heart is to see women restored—body, soul, and spirit—and she is committed to playing whatever part God asks of her in that process.

TESTIMONIAL
“I attended the very first RESTorative retreat at the Linck Hill Inn in July of 2022. Last minute decision and I am so glad I did! I was desperately in need of rest. I was doing full time hospice nursing at the time. I felt the Lord gave me a word on the drive to the Inn “Alignment”. Every aspect of the retreat was like water to my thirsty soul. From the holy yoga to an amazing massage, worship times, hike to a gorgeous waterfall, bible sessions & soul practices and journaling and more. The time spent around the tables in the dining area with delicious meals and fellowship was delightful. Coffee times on the front porch swing and making new friendships with like minded women was special. It was truly the best retreat I’ve ever been to. I realized that this is something I need to make a priority in my life. A time to come away and make space for God to hear from Him and align my life more fully into His will and purposes. Very grateful to this wonderful team for their creativity in ministering to the deeper needs of women! God bless this team and these RESTorative retreats.”
